নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : বরিশালের গৌরনদী উপজেলার বার্থী বাজার সংলগ্ন বার্থী-বড়দুলালী খালের জমি দখল করে নির্মিত ১৫টি পাকা স্থাপনা (দোকান ঘর) ভেঙে দিয়েছে প্রশাসন। সোমবার উপজেলার সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) আরিফুল ইসলাম প্রিন্সের নেতৃত্বে এসব স্থাপনা ভেঙে দেওয়া হয়।

বার্থী ইউনিয়নের সহকারী ভূমি কর্মকর্তা মিশেল আল সাদিক বলেন, স্থানীয় প্রভাবশালীরা বার্থী মৌজার বঙ্গবন্ধু সড়কের পাশে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বার্থী-বড়দুলালী খালের এক পাশ দখল করে পাকা পিলার স্থাপন করেন। খবর পেয়ে তারা সরেজমিন পরিদর্শন করে নির্মাণ কাজ বন্ধ করে দেন। এরপরও দখলদাররা নির্মাণ কাজ চালিয়ে যেতে থাকে।

সোমবার উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) আরিফুল ইসলাম প্রিন্সের নেতৃত্বে এবং থানা পুলিশের সহায়তায় দিনভর অভিযান চালিয়ে অবৈধ ১৫টি স্থাপনা ভেঙে দেওয়া হয়েছে বলে জানান তিনি।
